Sturrock back at Plymouth

Plymouth became the seventh Championship club to part company with their manager this season when Ian Holloway resigned last week to become the latest short term filler at Leicester, and Argyle wasted no time in asking Swindon for permission to speak to their former boss.

Last time he was manager of Plymouth they were in the basement division, and he won them two promotions before moving on for a short stay in the Premiership with the Saints. This time he returns with them riding high in the Championship and brought all his old coaching staff back with him.

That's Burnley, Crystal Palace, Leicester, Norwich, Plymouth, Preston and QPR no longer under the same management as they were when the season started, and despite a couple of good results in the last few days it is probably only a matter of time before Dave Jones departs Cardiff and makes it eight.
