Danny Karbassiyoon - first home appearance
Steve Cotterill gives games to members of his first team squad who have not played too much football recently, these being Kyle Lafferty, Chris McCann and Duane Courtney whilst Wade Elliott is also back in action, he is still coming back from the injury he sustained on the second Saturday of the season although he has played some first team football.

Also set to make his first home (if you can call Accrington home) appearance for Burnley is summer signing Danny Karbassiyoon. Danny was in the reserve team that won at Chester a couple of weeks ago and this was his first match action since the first pre-season friendly at Cheltenham.

The Burnley team is: Mark Crossley, Rob Henry, Tom Blackler, Duane Courtney, Martin Reilly, Wade Elliott, Nicky Platt, Chris McCann, Danny Karbassiyoon, Marc Pugh, Kyle Lafferty. Subs: Ali Akbar, Adam Kay, Dale Underwood, Paul Casey.

There’s also some experience in the Preston side with Billy Davies deciding to give some of his first team squad a game with their being no fixtures this weekend and they also have a player on the comeback trail. Goalkeeper Andy Lonergan will play and this will be his first game since sustaining a serious injury last February.

The Preston team is: Andy Lonergan, Dylan Adams, Richard Baker, Matt Hill, James Archer, Joe Anyinsah, Dickson Etuhu, Eric Skora, Mark Jackson, Adam Nowland, Dave Hibbert. Subs: Ben Hinchcliffe, Warren Beattie, Ashley Parillon, Iain Howard, Aaron McConville.
