Stott features in Bury win over Everton

Stott served his apprenticeship at Turf Moor in the 2006/7 and 2007/08 seasons and was considered close to winning a professional deal. However, he was released and was quickly snapped up by Preston last summer.

Things haven't worked out at Deepdale for him and he's now on the lookout for a new club. He's currently training with Bury and last night got his first spell of first team action when he came on with 30 minutes to go as a substitute, replacing Paul Scott.

He featured against an Everton side that included such as Louis Saha, Phil Neville, Leighton Baines and James Vaughan with former Burnley trialist Seamus Coleman at right back.

Stott's been training with the Shakers since the start of pre-season training and will be hoping to impress enough to win that deal with them for the new season.
