Steve misses out

The winner is Ipswich Town’s Joe Royle and he has won it because of the fact that due to Wigan’s poor run they have been able to get above them in the league and go top. So put quite simply, had Wigan won a game or two then, according to Chris Kamara, it would have more than likely have gone to Mick McCarthy or Steve Cotterill.

It all seems an amazing decision to me and a complete joke that Kamara can select one manager over another based on the form of a different team altogether. But there again Kamara was so ill prepared for it he tried to describe an Ipswich goal against the Clarets when they were actually showing footage from our 2-1 win at Leeds.

Who cares? I’m sure Steve doesn’t, our much improved form and higher league position will I am certain be enough reward for the Burnley manager.

We can now hope that he is a contender again for December – that should give us a good start to 2005.
