Stan wants ref to look at red card incident

The incident happened not too far over the half way line as Arthur dragged back Danny Dichio and he was instantly shown the red card by Premiership referee Uriah Rennie.

It is hard to believe that a player as poor as Dichio could have ever got near enough to our goal to score but Stan was not happy because he believes that Lee Roche could and would have got across meaning Arthur was not the last man.

Having seen it again on television I have some sympathy with Stan on this one and think he is right to ask Rennie to look at it again.

Stan said, "He sent Arthur off when Lee Roche was away round on the cover, so he wasn't the last man.

"I'll ask him to have a look at that, but knowing him as I know him I think I'm wasting my time.

"It was the wrong decision, but Uriah gets himself noticed - he always has done - and I think that's one of the reasons he was demoted from the big league.

"I'll see what he says about the sending off because if he looks at it properly on the video he will see that Arthur wasn't the last player."

To make matters even worse we then conceded a penalty when Lee Morris went down in the box but again video evidence shows that there was no contact and the way Morris went down you would think he was looking to get a game in the Greek Under 21s.

I dared to suggest on Saturday evening that Rennie had a good game but having seen these two late crucial decisions again I think I am more than ready to change my mind.
