Stan Ternent back in management

Last updated : 24 April 2008 By Tony Scholes
It is almost four years since Stan left Burnley, and almost three years since he left his last management post at Gillingham. Earlier this season he was working as European scout for Birmingham but he then joined Derby County along with Paul Jewell.

However, Huddersfield made an approach and Adam Pearson, the Derby Chairman, has given them the all clear to appoint Stan and Derby have said they will make no claim for compensation and that his successor will start with Derby tomorrow.

Stan's right hand man at the Galpharm will be former Huddersfield hero, and his assistant from Gillingham, Ronnie Jepson. Jeppo had a spell as manager at Gills but lost his job after a disappointing start to this season.

There'll be one familiar face there for them in former Burnley Chief Exec Andrew Watson who is now the Vice-Chairman of the League One club.

Clarets Mad would like to send best wishes to Stan as he returns to management.
