Spurs at home in the Worthington Cup

The draw will evoke memories of many past cup tussles with the North London club, the most recent coming in the same competition nine years ago in the 2nd round. We went out after two titanic battles.

There was also the magnificent 4-1 victory in 1983 and for those who can remember the four FA Cup clashes in a six year period in the 1960s including the Final and a brilliant 3-0 win a year later at White Hart Lane when the Fancy Dans lost their rags.

This tie will be played w/c 4th November and with Spurs playing Chelsea on the Sunday it is almost certain to be Wednesday 6th November.

The full draw is:

Blackburn Rovers v Walsall
West Ham United v Oldham Athletic
Newcastle United v Everton
Wigan Athletic v Manchester City

Crystal Palace v Coventry City
Ipswich Town v Middlesbrough
Birmingham City v Preston North End
Arsenal v Sunderland
