John Spicer
Spicer has been with Burnley since August 2005 when he was signed by former manager Steve Cotterill on a three year deal from Bournemouth. He was never a regular but had won a place back in the side this season but was injured in the game prior to Coyle becoming manager.

He had to wait his chance but when it came he was sent off a Ipswich and he's failed to start a game since. Coyle has said today on releasing the midfielder: "John has left the club and we wish him all the very best.

"Unfortunately he was injured when I arrived and then picked up a suspension. He's been unable to force his way into the side but he goes with our best wishes because he has been a fantastic professional."
