Sousa won 51 caps for Portugal but for the last five years has been assistant to Luis Felipe Scolari with the national team, but today he's signed a deal that will see him take charge of Queens Park Rangers until the end of the 2010/11 season.

Ainsworth was being tipped by some to land the job on a permanent basis, and he will remain at Loftus Road with Sousa revealing that he will be retaining his services as a coach.

Sousa becomes the fifth manager since the takeover of QPR last season.
