Brian Jensen - in goal for the reserves
Last week the Clarets second string ended Manchester United’s 100% record but it didn’t prevent us from slipping into bottom position in the league with Shrewsbury having won at Blackpool last Wednesday.

Bury, who provide the opposition tonight, are currently in second place below Manchester United and are expected to provide another stern test.

The Clarets team is very similar to the one that drew with Manchester United last week with Rob Henry, Darrell Avery and Kyle Lafferty coming in for Marc Pugh, Joe Booth and Alex Taylor.

It will give home fans the chance to get an extended look at Amadou Sanokho who will start as he did last week at Hyde.

The Burnley team is: Brian Jensen, Rob Henry, Neal Trotman, Chris McCann, Paul Scott, Joel Pilkington, Darrell Avery, Mark Yates, Amadou Sanokho, Matt O’Neill, Kyle Lafferty. Subs: Michael Hale, Martin Reilly, Nicky Platt, Marc Pugh, Alex Taylor.

The Bury side includes two players who have already played against the Clarets this season when we put them out of the Carling Cup at Gigg Lane, Paul Scott and Simon Whaley.

There are also two trialists in the visitors’ side – striker Steve Morrison is on a two game trial from Northampton whilst Raymond Lally is currently looking for a club.

One familiar face to some of the Burnley players will be James Barrow who played a number of games for our youth team whilst being involved with the Centre of Excellence. He is now at Bury where his manager Graham Barrow is also his dad.

Bury will line up: Greg Smith, James Barrow, Raymond Lally, Paul Scott, Milton Turner, Jon Cartledge, Matt Barrass, Simon Whaley, Colin Kazim-Richards, Steve Morrison, David Buchanan. Subs: Vassos Theophanous, Peter Collinge, Shaun Roscoe, Nicky Adams, Ryan Maloney.

The game kicks off at 7:00 p.m.
