Skippy is guest

Steve Kindon
Kindon, who works now as an after dinner speaker, is always a welcome guest back at the Turf, and for those who are in his company before the game they are sure of some good entertainment.

He burst onto the scene at Burnley during that youth cup run of 1967/68 and by the following season had established himself in the first team. He did eventually lose his place to Leighton James and in the summer of 1972 signed for Wolves.

After over five years at Wolves he returned to Burnley with us struggling at the wrong end of the second division, but he played a massive part as we rescued it with a fantastic run in the closing months of the season.

With the Clarets heading for the third division for the first time he was sold again, this time to Huddersfield. After helping them to a promotion he suffered a knee injury which ultimately brought his career to an end.

It's always good to see him back at the Turf.
