Second time this season for Joslin
It's not the first time he's stepped in late for a Burnley game, it was Joslin who refereed our game at Stoke two seasons ago after Steve Cotterill objected to the appointment of Richard Beeby. Joslin had a bad day then as well.
Other than that he's not done too bad and is a somewhat undemonstrative official who at 48 is one of the oldest on the league list. He is though one of the officials who have gone into three figures in terms of yellow cards. This season he's handed out 129 yellow cards and 6 red cards in just 34 games. Of those yellow cards, 50 have gone to home players and 79 to away players whilst Leyton Orient's Gary Alexander is the only home player, other than Micah, he has sent off.
This could well be Phil Joslin's last ever Football League game, he might just go out without using his cards. If so, it will be the first time he's done that since 2005.

He will be assisted by Jeremy Simpson (Lancashire) and John Stokes (Wirral) and Football League referee Anthony Taylor (Cheshire) will be on fourth official duties.
