Second Burnley game for Booth

This is Booth's 4^th season on the Football League list and his only previous Burnley game was our last game of the 2005/06 season at home to Luton. However, he was involved in a Burnley game a lot more recently than that, he was the fourth official at our recent home game against Wolves.

He had a quiet enough afternoon for that Luton game. He's not a referee to use his cards too often and last season handed out 76 yellows and 4 reds in 33 games. This season didn't get underway for him until February and he's refereed just seven games. There have been no red cards and fourteen yellow cards which is two per game. Of those yellow cards only four have gone to home players with ten to away players.

I believe we can expect a referee who will allow the players to get on with playing the game, and that's no bad thing.

The assistant referees will be Martin Dexter (Leicestershire) and Craig Evans (Lincolnshire) whilst fourth official duties will be in the hands of Chris Francis (Cambridgeshire).
