Sean Dyche gets another Manager of the Month nomination

In a remarkable season, to date, for the Clarets, it is the fifth time our manager has received such a nomination, including the first three months of the season.

He was pipped to the award in August by Blackpool's Paul Ince, something hard to believe now, but went on to win it in both September and October. His last nomination was for February but on that occasion the winner was Wigan's Uwe Rösler.

For March the three other managers nominated are Eddie Howe (Bournemouth), Paul Dickov (Doncaster) and Nigel Pearson (Leicester).

I would think the favourite is probably former Burnley boss Howe. His Bournemouth team, like Burnley, dropped only three points in the month but they played one more game. They had 19 points from 8 games with the Clarets winning 16 points from 7 games.

Pearson's Leicester only dropped two points in the month, winning 14 points from 6 games. Both QPR and Wigan also claimed 14 points (from 8 and 7 games respectively) whilst both Doncaster and Ipswich won 13 points from 7 games.

Both of our strikers have won the player of the month award this season. Danny Ings made it a double with Dyche in October and Sam Vokes was the winner last month.

For March the four nominees are Christophe Berra (Ipswich), Troy Deeney (Watford), Simon Francis (Bournemouth) and Ravel Morrison (QPR).
