McDiarmid Park - home of St. Johnstone and venue for our last game in Scotland

Queen of the South reported only this week that they will be our first opponents on Saturday 19th July and now sources in Scotland have said that Partick Thistle will be our next opponents on the Monday.

That means we will bring the trip to an end at Owen Coyle's previous club St. Johnstone on the Wednesday before heading home for friendlies against Accrington and Bradford City and hopefully one at home before the season gets underway.

We've also had rumours of trips to America and Northern Ireland and both were topics of conversation at Crystal Palace on Sunday. The American trip is looking less likely whilst there is still nothing official regarding a potential game against Glentoran.

The confirmed friendlies to date, which are in the Clarets Mad Calendar, are:

Saturday 19th July - Queen of the South (a)
Monday 21st July - Partick Thistle (a)
Wednesday 23rd July - St. Johnstone (a)
Saturday 26th July - Accrington Stanley (a)
Tuesday 29thth July - Bradford City (a)
