Same again at Grimsby

Fred West will play in an unchanged line up
The last time it was same again was at the end of December when we started the game at Maine Road with the same eleven that had started the previous game, the 0-0 draw with Millwall. Almost certainly though that is going to be the case for tomorrow's game at Grimsby.

We are still without some of the squad. Ian Cox is still out injured and Stan has confirmed today that Robbie Blake will also miss the game with the stomach strain that he has had since before signing for the Clarets.

Also definitely out is Alan Moore who starts a three match suspension after being ridiculously sent off against Wolves. Burnley did appeal against the decision by Barry Knight but the appeal was thrown out and Alan will now miss the two remaining league games plus the first play off semi-final. Should we not make the play offs then the last match of the suspension will be served on the opening day of next season.

So the Clarets will almost certainly line up just as they did last week, namely: Nik Michopoulos, Dean West, Steve Davis, Arthur Gnohere, Mitchell Thomas, Glen Little, Kevin Ball, Tony Grant, Lee Briscoe, David Johnson, Ian Moore. The subs last week were Gordon Armstrong, Paul Weller, Paul Gascoigne, Andy Payton and Gareth Taylor. It will probably be the same five although Paul Cook could come into contention.

Grimsby have very few problems but do have up to three players unavailable. David Smith is out through injury and Tony Gallimore misses the game with a suspension. Stuart Campbell has been struggling with a foot injury for two weeks and it doesn't look as though he will make it in time to play tomorrow.

It is up front where player manager Paul Groves will have some choices to make with Paul Robinson having started last week. Not only that Steve Livingstone returned from injury as a sub last Saturday, his first appearance of the season.

The expected line up though is: Danny Coyne, John McDermott, Andy Todd, Paul Groves, Ben Chapman, Terry Cooke, Alan Pouton, Stacy Coldicott, Danny Butterfield, Bradley Allen, Michael Boulding. Subs: Steve Croudson, Simon Ford, Wayne Burnett, Steve Livingstone, Paul Robinson.
