That's the report in today's Daily Mail and it appears the South Coast clubs are very keen on some of our players with Portsmouth having now increased their offer for Martin Paterson to £2.5 million.
With the Clarets having sold Chris Eagles and Tyrone Mears, it is unlikely that they will be looking to sell any more players during this transfer window and I would expect Saints to be rebuffed very quickly with this one.
