Jay is playing his football in the same league right now and has been on loan with Division One club Stirling Albion since January. Just three days ago Owen Coyle said he'd spoken to Jay's agent as he looks to keep the youngster, who is just completing his first one year professional contract, at Burnley.
Alex MacDonald is one of seven youngsters coming to the end of their two year apprenticeship who is waiting news as to whether he's won himself a professional deal. However, he's the favourite in the seven to remain at Burnley given the manager's comments on him over recent weeks.
