Robbie's goal walks it for second time

There were six goals in all to choose from during October, the two against both Birmingham and Blackburn and one each from the home games against Wigan and Hull.

Right from the start of the vote there was never going to be any other winner and three of those goals - the two from Steven Fletcher against Birmingham and Wigan, along with Chris Eagles' goal at Blackburn managed just about 1% of the vote between them.

Graham Alexander's second against Hull was third. That was the shot from outside the box after the ball had been played across to him by Kevin McDonald. That goal polled 6.4% whilst Andre Bikey polled 17% of the vote to take second place with his wonderful effort against Birmingham as he played a one-two with David Nugent before finishing into the bottom corner.

Bikey started the move that led to the winning goal, playing the ball up for Wade Elliott who controlled it well before passing to Robbie who went inside a defender before unleashing an unstoppable shot past Paul Robinson.

His Manchester United goal won 94.9% of the August vote but this time he had to settle for 75.5% to win this one. That now means two Blake goals and one from Nugent against Sunderland are automatically in the poll for the goal of the month.

Meanwhile we've already got a couple of good candidates in the November poll from our 3-3 draw last Saturday at Eastlands against Manchester City. The man of the match vote for this game ends tonight.
