His three goals in the three 1-0 wins in November have won him the Powerade Player of the Month award, pipping Ipswich’s Darren Bent and Paul Furlong of QPR.

Chris Kamara revealed the winner and the manager who plucked him from Darlington to take him to Bradford said, “Burnley are moving in the right direction and three winning goals in the month of November make Robbie Blake the top man in the Championship.”

Luton defender Davis and Paul Hayes the Scunthorpe striker have won the awards in the other divisions.

Previous winners of the Championship monthly award this season are Stoke’s Ade Akinbiyi (August), Steve Sidwell of Reading (September) and Ipswich midfielder Kevin Horlock (October).
