Robbie makes Team of Week

Blake was in irresistable mood in the second half as Burnley simply swept Bradford apart with their attacking play and his performance has won him a place in the team this week alongside a goalscoring goalkeeper.

The Football League said of his inclusion, "For a man with a good goalscoring record – one goal every 2.7 games to be precise – Blake has a low profile, but his former club Bradford City really should have seen him coming.

"The Clarets thumped the Bantams 4-0 and Blake was an unmanageable handful throughout. He capped another fine performance with Burnley’s fourth goal after 68 minutes – a well drilled low shot following a smooth team move."

Blake lines up in a team taken from ten different clubs, only Sunderland had two players selected this week. The team is:

Mart Poom (Sunderland), George McCartney (Sunderland), Stephen Foster (Crewe), Pablo Mills (Derby), Michael Jackson (Preston), Michael Tonge (Sheffield United), Jim Magilton (Ipswich), Jimmy Bullard (Wigan), Danny Spiller (Gillingham), Robbie Blake (Burnley), Andy Johnson (Crystal Palace).
