Robbie is the new leader

Robbie Blake
He's been in sensational form again recently, and again against Forest he was in top form scoring the first goal and then setting up Wade Elliott for the second. And for the fourth time this season he's taken maximum points by winning both the man of the match vote and the player ratings.

He won the man of the match convincingly with 38.7% of the vote. Left back Christian Kalvenes, having probably his best game in Burnley colours, was second with 20.3% with the rejuvenated Clarke Carlisle in third place with 16.4% of the vote.

The player ratings on the message board provided us with the same three players in the top three. Again Robbie came out on top with a rating of 8.59 out of 10 but he was only just ahead of Carlisle who rated at 8.57. Kalvenes was third this time with a rating of 8.11 out of 10.

Blake wins six points towards the Player of the Year whilst there are three each for Carlisle and Kalvenes. The points for the latter two move them up alongside Michael Duff and Rhys Williams respectively in the table but Blake's points are very significant.

He's been moving up the table quietly over the last couple of months or so and now he's hit the top, going four points clear of Martin Paterson who had held the lead for so long. He becomes the fourth player to lead the table this season, the other two being Chris Eagles and Chris McCann.

Voting us currently underway for the Ipswich game and that will continue until the end of tomorrow.
