Robbie goes top

Robbie Blake
Robbie Blake - new leader
He won both the voting poll here on the site, and also the player ratings thread on the message board, and he won both by some margin to claim the full six points to take him to the top of the points table.

He polled an incredible 76.1% of the vote in the poll, the biggest percentage of the season, as he took the man of the match award, and the three points, for the first time. So far ahead was he that Chris McCann, who took second place, won only 4.7% of the vote. He claimed two points whilst Clarke Carlisle picked up a single point for third place after winning 3.5% of the vote.

It was the same story with the player ratings. Robbie was well out in front with an average rating of 8.53 and over half of the ratings submitted awarded him nine out of ten. Goalkeeper Gabor Kiraly, who made two good saves but otherwise had a quiet night, scored his first points of the season, taking second place with a rating of 7.05% whilst Clarke Carlisle was again in third place with a rating of 6.79.

That all means Brian Jensen has slipped from first place to third with both Blake and Carlisle now above him. Blake leads the way now with fourteen points.

The current totals are:

14: Robbie Blake
13: Clarke Carlisle

11: Andy Gray
9: Kyle Lafferty
6: Steven Caldwell & David Unsworth
5: Alan Mahon & Chris McCann
