Since then he hasn't started a league game but has been used as a substitute in them all, particularly influencing the win at Nottingham Forest. However, like most players, Robbie would like to be starting.
"It would be nice to have a start soon," he said. "It is a bit frustrating knowing that you can do a job, but the manager can only pick eleven players so you've got to keep hoping and pushing and take your chance when you get it.
"You can't really go knocking on the manager's door when the team are on a good run. I got left out of the team and then the lads went on a nine game unbeaten run. It's virtually impossible to leave players out then except for suspensions and injuries, so you can't expect too much.
"I need to play at the end of the day, so I'll have to have a look at that in the next month or so. Hopefully I can get in the team before then, but, if not I'll have to have a rethink and see what happens."
Blake added: "Everybody wants to play, but you've got to get in the team to play. The lads have done well after the first four games but I'll have to wait my chance and hopefully it will come soon. I know I'm good enough to take the chance, I've just got to be patient."
