It is suggesting that it will be to Turf Moor he heads to end his Celtic hell (where have we heard that word hell before in the last week?) and not to join League One Leeds. They believe that Burnley being able to offer Championship football has left us in pole position to sign him.

Nothing is expected to happen until the Kyle Lafferty situation is resolved. Assistant manager Sandy Stewart reiterated on local radio yesterday that Lafferty and manager Owen Coyle will sit down and discuss the situation when the players return for pre-season training in July.

However, he might just be gone by then with Wolves believed to have upped their offer for him. If speculation on this is to believed they are still including Stephen Elliott and the offer is still some way short of what it is though Burnley would accept.
