Reserves visiting a Conference Club

Alex Taylor - ruled out with injury
With just four games left, three of them away and one at Accrington, we are set for a finish in the bottom group although we do remain four points clear of bottom club Shrewsbury.

We are currently two places and seven points behind the Cumbrians who have also played two games less than us and that will make them favourites this afternoon.

It is again an inexperienced side that Mark Yates takes up to Carlisle and again he will not feature in a side whose only first team experience is five short substitute appearances from the three of the back four.

Yates will also be without Alex Taylor who is out with a medial ligament injury and Neal Trotman who picked up an injury in the youth team game on Saturday.

The Burnley side is: Michael Hale, Joel Pilkington, Ryan Townsend, Chris McCann, Paul Scott, Marc Pugh, Joe Booth, Nicky Platt, Tom Ince, Kyle Lafferty, Cayne Hanley. Subs: Martin Reilly, Rob Henry, Adam Jones.

Carlisle’s reserve team are managed by former player Billy Barr and although they have lost more games than the Clarets this season they have found winning somewhat easier.

Their side will include some experienced players such as former Sunderland player Brendan McGill, Paul Arnison and Carlos Roca.

They will line up this afternoon: William Coyles, Lee Andrews, Simon Grand, Brian Shelley, Chris Beech, Daniel Dillon, Brendan McGill, Paul Arnison, Karl Hawley, Carlos Roca, Simon Hackney.
