John Oster - lines up this afternoon
Yates has had to contend with a very inexperienced side for much of the season but today he can once again include Danny Coyne as well as both Jean-Louis Valois and new signing John Oster.

There’s also a start for Northern Ireland youngster Kyle Lafferty who has been out for almost two months. He made a substitute appearance for the youth team on Saturday but is in the starting line up this afternoon alongside Cayne Hanley who was so impressive in Saturday’s Youth Alliance Cup win over Tranmere.

The Burnley team in full is: Danny Coyne, Joel Pilkington, Neal Trotman, Chris McCann, Paul Scott, John Oster, Joe Booth, Matt O’Neill, Jean-Louis Valois, Kyle Lafferty, Cayne Hanley. Subs: Michael Hale, Marc Pugh, Nicky Platt, Martin Reilly, Tom Ince.

Our hosts Bury are riding high in second place in the league, just behind Manchester United and with only one defeat all season. They are under the guidance of Lee Casper, the son of former Clarets’ boss Frank.

Goalkeeper Glyn Garner makes a return for Bury after missing recently through injury and the home side will line up:

Glyn Garner, James Barrow, Shaun Roscoe, Vassos Theophanous, Russell Hitchen, Jon Cartledge, Damien Quigley, David Buchanan, Nicky Adams, Ryan Maloney, Luke Horrocks. Subs: Matt Hampson, Peter Collinge, Chris Pauls, Steve Burke, Keith Wedge.
