Alan Moore - in the reserves after a blast from Stan
One player included in the Burnley side is Alan Moore who has become the latest player to be singled out by Stan Ternent. Looking back on Saturday’s game Stan had a blast for Moore who failed to impress the manager.

"I thought a lot of the players played well with the exception of Alan Moore, who I thought was poor", said Stan. "I don't normally single players out, but I expect more from my players than he gave me today and if I don't get more from him, then he won't play. I'll play the kids. He is much better than that."

Although the threat to play the kids is hardly likely to happen, he said the same last year but last week wasn’t prepared to fill the bench with them, Moore is certainly looking at a spell out of the side if he doesn’t start to impress.

Four of the five subs from Saturday will play tonight, Dean West being the exception, and there is also a trialist in the line up. He’s called David French, a midfielder, and he will be looking to impress.

Amongst the subs is Alex Taylor and he and Joe Booth we recently reported were to be added to the already named new scholars. That has been confirmed today, both as second years, and striker Taylor makes the subs bench.

Burnley will line up: Michael Hale, Danny Pitham, Paul Scott, Darrel Avery, Arthur Gnohere, David French, Marc Pugh, Richard Chaplow, Alan Moore, Damien Hindle, Matt O’Neill. Subs: Ryan Townsend, Alex Taylor, Ross Preston, Neal Trotman, Tom Ince.

Preston are still to confirm their line up but there will be experience in it as well as a debut for their new signing Claude Davis. The Trinidad & Tobago player will line up alongside David Lucas, Tyrone Mears, John Bailey, Lee Cartwright, Alan McCormack and Eric Skora in a strong home side.

The game kicks off at 7:00 p.m. and admission is £4 adults and £2 concessions.
