He certainly doesn't appear to be very card happy, unlike his namesake.
In his first season he gave out 39 yellow and just one red card in 23 games. Last season his total was 94 yellow and three red cards in 30 games.
This season he's handed out 38 yellow cards in 12 games and has already matched the red card total of three from last season, a very interesting three red cards too.
Of those yellow cards, 20 have gone to home team players and 18 to away team players.
Now, onto those three red cards which are listed below.
1. Mark Creighton (Oxford) after 70 minutes in their 5-0 defeat at Bradford City
2. James Hanson (Bradford City) after 71 minutes in their 5-0 home win against Oxford
3. Jake Wright (Oxford) after 72 minutes in their 5-0 defeat at Bradford City
Yes, all three in one game and within a two minute period with no football played between the first and the third. I thought it was worthwhile taking a look at this and there can be no criticism of the referee whatsoever.
He yellow carded Creighton for a bad challenge on a Bradford City player and being his second yellow of the afternoon the player was sent off. That prompted some reaction with all hell breaking loose and resulted in the other two players being dismissed for their involvement.
Hopefully there will be nothing like that tomorrow and the game can be somewhat more peaceful.
Webb's last game was last week's Bury v Stockport game in which Wes Fletcher scored the winning goal for Stockport. There were no cards at all in this game.
The assistant referees tomorrow are Martin Dexter (Leicestershire) and Daniel Meeson (Staffordshire). The fourth official is Rob Merchant (Staffordshire).
