This is Sheldrake's fourth season in the Football League. His first game, a League Two fixture between Cheltenham and Grimsby, coming in August 2009.
During that season he refereed just once at Championship level. It came at Peterborough in a game they lost 1-0 against Preston. There were only four Championship games in the following season. He was given seven Championship games last season and tomorrow will be his eighth this season.
His last Championship game was that between Watford and Sheffield Wednesday last month after which Dave Jones launched into him, accusing him of not being nowhere near good enough to referee at this level.
In his late 20s, he started refereeing as a 16-year-old to earn extra pocket money, receiving £20 per game to add to his paper round earnings, but soon started to take it seriously.
He's a schoolteacher at Teddington School in Middlesex but would love the opportunity to give that up if the chance came to become a full time referee on the Select Group. His lack of Championship games suggests that could be some way away yet.
This season he's refereed 29 games in which there have been 96 yellow cards and two red cards. Of those yellow cards, 43 have gone to home team players and 53 to away team players.
His last game was last Saturday's League One game between Walsall and Bury. The game ended 1-1 but both yellow cards went to Bury players Mark Hughes and Carl Regan.
The assistant referees at Molineux are Alan Clayton (Cheshire) and Ian Dudley (Nottinghamshire). The fourth official is Andy Newbold (Leicestershire).
