Reading game doubtful

Reading's Adie Williams - called up for Wales
The first to be called up was Jamaican Omar Daley. The 22 year-old who was signed on loan from Jamaican club Hazard (since renamed as Portmore United) is still to make his first start for Reading but is a regular in the Jamaican side and has been called up for their home game against Honduras on 8th October.

To add to that the Reading captain has today been selected in the Welsh squad for their European quaifier against Serbia & Montenegro on the day we are scheduled to play Reading, Saturday 11th October.

The extremely efficient Welsh FA have also called up Gareth Taylor of BURNLEY. We presume that Mark Hughes must have checked with Stan on Taylor’s fitness before releasing the squad.

Should Reading have one more player called up then they will ask for a postponement of the Burnley game and that is expected to come when England name their Under 21 squad for that week. Steven Sidwell is almost certain to be included.

So currently the game is doubtful but there seems little likelihood of it going ahead. Taylor by the way will probably be our only player missing on that day, according the the Welsh FA.
