Ras to finally get a game for Pool

In an article entitled Departed Clarets in demand we reported that Ian Cox could be set for Gillingham and also reported that Blackpool were keen to sign Steve Davis whilst at that time Rotherham were reported to be in talks with Briscoe.

At the time we said that Mark Rasmussen was set to return to his native north east to play for Hartlepool United but nothing happened. We have constantly been checking but it looked to be off with the change of manager at Victoria Park.

That’s no longer the case though and Raz will finally play for Hartlepool tomorrow in a pre-season friendly against Sheffield Wednesday as he bids to win a deal. He will be one of three trialists in the Hartlepool side, the other two being Pedro Dimas and Chris Moore who have both been with Newcastle.

The Hartlepool fans are going to be somewhat confused though with his name – he has been listed as Mart Razputin by the north east club. I just wonder what the chant will be if he does well.
