Gow has been linked with a move away from Ibrox and his name was mentioned as a possible signing in January. It looks almost certain that he will leave Rangers and with them valuing him at £1 million it takes this offer to not much less than the overall package offered by Wolves.
Gow started his career with Clydebank before moving on to Airdrie United and Falkirk. His form at Falkirk prompted Smith to take him last summer on a Bosman. Falkirk boss John Hughes had hoped to get £500,000 for him but Gow held out to allow himself to become a free agent.
Unfortunately for Gow he's failed to break into the Rangers side and his only appearances have been in a 4-0 Scottish League Cup win at East Fife and a 6-0 win in the Scottish Cup at home to East Stirling.
If this offer is confirmed then despite Brendan Flood's hopes of keeping Lafferty it is becoming clear that with two clubs chasing him he'll get his wish and be out of Turf Moor sooner rather than later.
