Rangers join chase for Lafferty

It is being reported that Celtic have offered us £2.5 million plus Derek Riordan, with the Scottish international striker valued at £600,000 for Lafferty but this morning's tabloids are suggesting Rangers are set to top that massively with a £4 million offer including striker Alan Gow.

The 25-year-old Gow joined Rangers only last summer from Falkirk on a Bosman deal but he hasn't been able to break into the side and has made just two appearances, one in the Scottish League Cup and one in the Scottish Cup.

He previously played for Clydebank and Airdrie United and it was at the second club where he played alongside current Burnley boss Owen Coyle.

It was widely reported yesterday that we'd turned down the offer for Lafferty, although at this time there has been nothing said by the Clarets who are usually quick to inform supporters when offers have been rejected.
