Mark Randall - Turf Moor return?
Randall spent the last three months of the 2007/08 season with the Clarets and it is reported that manager Owen Coyle would like to bring him back to Turf Moor in a season long deal along with Gibbs.

It wasn't the most successful of stays with us. He started just two games, the away fixtures at Stoke and Crystal Palace, and made a further eight substitute appearances. At the same time Gibbs was enjoying a loan spell with then fellow Championship club Norwich for whom he made seven appearances.

Both had just played against us in the FA Youth cup with Gibbs then playing on the left hand side of midfield although he's now playing his football at left back.

Since their return to the Emirates it is Gibbs who has established himself as a first team squad member. Last season he made 21 appearances although only eight of them were in the Premier League. For Randall there were just six appearances with his only Premier League game coming at Portsmouth last month when he came on as a late substitute for Aaron Ramsey.

Gibbs, who is currently playing for England in the UEFA Under-21 Finals, has already spoken of his willingness to go out next season to help further his career, not expecting to be a regular in the Arsenal side, whilst Randall will clearly need to be away from the Emirates to get much first team action.

Both players are still only 19, and will enjoy their 20th birthdays within two days of each other in September. Both fit the profile of player both Brendan Flood and Owen Coyle have spoken about bringing in.
