How often do Burnley supporters complain that we don't get enough publicity when things are going well at Turf Moor? It's no longer so, and that's according to Alan Curbishley who said today on Sky Sports News that QPR were progressing well and keeping everything under the radar because Burnley are getting all the publicity.
If we are then it must be the first time ever, but simply we are top of the league and in Sam Vokes and Danny Ings we currently have two of the division's top five goalscorers.
Under the radar with Harry Redknapp in charge? Or maybe the car window has shattered and he cannot do any interviews right now, but there is no doubt his team are doing well and it's simple, once they go in front they win. They are even getting two goals in games now and Charlie got both on Saturday as they beat bottom club Barnsley.
Doncaster, who we'd beaten on Tuesday, did us a favour by beating third place Leicester, the other team that started the day on 23 points. Well, maybe Leicester beat themselves or their goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel with some calamity goalkeeping.
Another goalkeeper having a nightmare was Lee Grant. He gave one goal away, and came close to being responsible for another two, but it mattered not as the division's latest manager (or head coach) Steve McClaren got off to a winning start. And it didn't rain on the touchline either.
Leicester remain third with one point steps downwards for the next four clubs to Reading in seventh place on 19 points. Forest won at Brighton to stay fourth with Watford winning at Huddersfield to remain in fifth place.
Blackpool returned to the top six. They drew 0-0 at Charlton to overtake Reading. Charlton boss Chris Powell was delighted with the result too, their first clean sheet of the season. There's only Barnsley left without a clean sheet now.
It's no surprise. They conceded a staggering 27 goals and are bottom of the table. Yeovil are just above them on goal difference with Sheffield Wednesday one point higher.
Wednesday are now the only club without a win after Bolton got their first three pointer of the season at Birmingham.
The weekend's fixtures ended yesterday at the Concrete Jungle as Owen Coyle's faced Blackburn. Someone asked me who I wanted to win that one. Get real. I don't like Coyle. I don't trust him; he tells lies, but I don't care who beats Blackburn, even a lying Scotsman.
Wigan won it against ten men Blackburn with a stoppage time goal. It was ten men because Grant Hanley was sent off. Manager Gary Bowyer didn't see it and neither did he understand Hanley's explanation.
Matt Kilgallon didn't see it at the time either at the time. He said: "I was running after the ball and I turned around and Grant has got Nick Powell in a figure four leg lock. I've seen it back and he'll learn from it."
Coyle, whose team went toe-to-toe with our local rivals, likened the comeback to that in the Super League Grand Final the day before. You can't make it up.
The league table still looks good, indeed very, very good. The results and stats are below along with the leading goalscorers, the hat trick heroes, each club's red and yellow card count, the ten highest and lowest attendances and the next fixtures in two week's time.
