Pugh joins Bury

Pughy was one of six youth players released by the Clarets recently and has since been training with Bury with a view to moving there. He's had a good season at youth level, and prior to joining Kidderminster on work experience just before Christmas he just couldn't stop scoring goals.

He had two spells at Aggborough, he returned in January when Mark Yates took over as manager, but returned to the Clarets after playing ten first team games for them, scoring one goal and winning national acclaim with an appearance on Soccer AM's Showboat.

He scored a goal for Bury reserves last week against Blackpool and added another yesterday in their 3-3 draw against Chester. That was enough to convince Chris Casper to take him for the remainder of this season.

On Saturday he will be in the Bury squad against Rochdale and could be set for his Football League debut, something he came close to for the Clarets with substitute appearances this season and also in the 2003/04 season. His only first team game though was Stan Ternent's testimonial against Manchester United when he scored the Burnley goal.

Clarets Mad would like to wish Marc all the best for the rest of the season at Bury and hope he's able to win himself a longer deal.
