Pugh goes out on loan

Pughy is in his third year as a scholar at Burnley and had played mostly as a winger in his first two years but this season has played as a striker with devastating effect. In eleven league and cup games for the youth team he has netted an incredible fifteen goals and also added one reserve team goal despite playing some of the reserve games on the wing.

It is that form which has twice seen him make the first team bench, for the Carling Cup ties against Carlisle and Aston Villa, and he was with the first team squad at Luton on Saturday.

But for the next month he’ll be wearing the red and white of Kidderminster and will hopefully get his first game for them against Stevenage this weekend. The move is to enable Marc to get some first team games and to get experience at first team level and is part of the apprentice system now in place.

We wish him all the best and look forward to him returning and pushing for a place in our starting level – we just wonder who is going to score the goals for the youth team in the next few weeks.

All the best Pughy.
