Pugh back from Kidderminster

Pughy has made the first team bench a couple of times this season. It is no surprise given the number of goals he’s been hitting in the youth team, and he went off to Kidderminster on work experience to give him some games at a better and more competitive level.

He’s done well there and after appearing as a substitute in his first game he’s been a regular in the side up to his last game which was at Accrington on Saturday.

The one day he will remember most was the week before when he scored a goal and as well as providing a bit of showboating that led to the first goal in a win over Dagenham & Redbridge. It was so good that it made its way onto Sky’s Soccer AM where it was compared with Ossie Ardiles’ flick in the Escape to Victory film.

But Pughy is back now and will be in the youth squad for our visit to Walsall this Saturday, and I’m sure he’ll be aiming to continue with the goalscoring that has already seen him notch fifteen goals this season for the youths.
