Preston game – no kick off change

Clarets Mad have spoken with both Burnley and Preston today with both clubs confirming that the game will kick off at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday 26th February as previously scheduled and that any other suggestions are just rumour.
The home club for the match Preston even got confirmation from their own Safety Officer for us who confirmed that the local police were more than happy with the 3:00 p.m. kick off.
Perhaps the suggestions of an early start came about because it was a 12:30 kick off at Deepdale last season but at the time Burnley Football Club announced that the early start, one week before Christmas, was to allow fans to do their Christmas shopping in the afternoon.
There was just one stipulation from Preston, they said the only way the time of this fixture could now change from 3 o’clock was if Sky decided to cover it. That is not likely to happen with Sky having already revealed fixtures beyond that date.
