Premiership Foy at Stoke
In all his other Burnley games there have been just two more red cards, he dismissed both Wayne Routledge and Shaun Derry on the opening day of the 2003/04 season when Crystal Palace beat us 3-2 on the Turf.
Foy, who stepped into the Premier League for the first time in 2001, is no stranger to red cards and last season it was just about one ever four games when he sent off a total of ten players. Probably the best remembered of them was Arjen Robben who received his second yellow card for celebrating a goal at Sunderland.
This season so far there has been no sign of that colour of card but in his first six games he has handed out a total of eighteen yellow cards. We needn't unduly worry about him hitting the away teams, nine each have gone to home and away players.
Foy, and everyone else at Stoke tomorrow, will be hoping that he doesn't have to deal with anything similar to last week when he was at St James Park for the game between Newcastle and Fulham, and the dreadful injury sustained by Jimmy Bullard.
It's good news to hear he's improved, he's had some poor Burnley games in the past, and tomorrow he will be assisted by Michael Murphy (West Midlands) and Ceri Richards (Carmarthenshire) whilst the fourth official duties will be in the hands of Phil Gibbs (West Midlands).
