Poor display sees reserves lose at home

In the end though that opportunity wasn't there as Preston beat Wolves 1-0 and with the Clarets losing 2-0 we are now five points behind the leaders. Despite being able to put out a strong and experienced team this was probably the worst performance from the reserves all season and although the Sheffield United keeper Wilko de Vogt made some excellent saves towards the end the visitors were well worth the points.

The next game is on Wednesday away to Birmingham City and I am sure that Ronnie Jepson will be looking for a much better display than this.

One disappointment was the fact that Victor Manuel Torres Mestre who did so well last week was not in the squad tonight although there has been no news on him since last week's game.
