Points shared in Bolton win

Last updated : 19 February 2014 By Tony Scholes

The two central defenders, Michael Duff and Jason Shackell, were the respective winners but neither won a top four place in the other.

It was Duff who took the man of the match with 25.1% of the vote. He won it from goalscorer Sam Vokes who came second with 19.6%. Third and fourth places went to the two central midfielders with Dean Marney taking third place with 14.9% and David Jones securing 10.6% of the vote to finish fourth.

Duff was replaced by Shackell in the player ratings with the same three players taking the next positions. Shackell's rating of 8.17 out of 10 gave him first place ahead of Jones who had a rating of 8.08. Just behind were Marney and Vokes who shared third place, each with a rating of 7.92 out of 10.

Duff, Shackell and Vokes all won five points towards the Clarets Mad Player of the Year while Jones and Marney both won four points. It's made little difference to the table with Shackell and Vokes, the top two, both moving a further five points ahead of Ings. The other three players to score points are all together in the table in 6th to 8th places.

The Bournemouth result will be published tomorrow with the next vote, for the Nottingham Forest game, commencing on Saturday within an hour of the final whistle.
