Plans to move Cup Tie to the Turf

Cheltenham's ground is not the biggest and we can now confirm that Burnley's ticket allocation will be 1,961 (a mixture of seats and terrace tickets). With the obvious demand for this game the Cheltenham directors have been looking at alternatives to the game being played at Whaddon Road.

Their first choice, and we believe in agreement with Burnley Football Club, was to move the tie to Turf Moor. With the capacity of around three times more it would guarantee that everyone who wanted to see the game would be allowed to.

Cheltenham have got as far as approaching the Football Association but it does seem as though the request has been turned down given that tickets details have now been released by the Gloucestershire club.

The home side start selling their tickets on Sunday but Burnley have, as yet made no announcement as to when our tickets go on sale.
