He'll certainly be noticed and he has a very flamboyant attitude to waving cards, particularly red ones, and he gets plenty of practice. This season in 32 games he's already used his yellow card 108 times and his red card no fewer than 11 times. I don't recall some of those red cards but do remember one in particular being a very poor decision when he dismissed Brentford's Sammy Moore at Wycombe with two shocking yellow card decisions.
He upset Kevin Blackwell on Boxing Day when he sent off three Luton players in a 1-1 draw at Bristol Rovers. Incredibly Luton got their equaliser with only nine on the field. Luton wanted to appeal two of the three, but could only appeal the one and of course failed.
Of those yellow cards 44 have gone to home team players and 64 to away team players. But word of caution for the Cardiff players looking forward to Wembley and the FA Cup Final, all but two of the players he's sent off have been away team players.
The assistant referees will be Mark Brown and Wayne Grunnill (both East Yorkshire) whilst fourth official duties will be in the hands of Jim Waring (Lancashire).
