Penton set for the Crisp Bowl

Despite this being his seventh season on the Football League list it will be just the fourth time he's refereed a Burnley game, having taken charge of two away games at Norwich prior to the game at the Den. We currently don't have the best of records with him having lost all three.

Having said that he's not given us any problems really in any of the games although he did miss the most blatant of penalties in the Millwall game when Andy Gray nearly lost his shirt.

He's had a steady start to this season. There have been no red cards yet but so far thirty-three yellow cards in twelve games. Of those fifteen, have gone to home players and eighteen to away players.

Penton was last at Leicester in December of last year. On that occasion he refereed their home game against Barnsley, a game they won 2-0.

Overall I'm not too concerned about the referee for this game. Some have proved me wrong in recent weeks, I'm hoping Penton doesn't.

He will be assisted by Steve Cook (Derbyshire) and James Cox (Worcestershire) whilst the fourth official will be Wayne Porter (Lincolnshire).
