Penny to cost a few pennies

One Sunday newspaper this morning is suggesting the Clarets will pay his club Coronel Bolognesi a fee of £300,000 to bring him to Turf Moor.

Penny, or Diego Alonso Penny Valdez, to give him his full name would, as we confirmed on Friday, require a work permit but it is being suggested that there should be no problem with him now a regular contender for the Peruvian squad.

With players here and there being linked with Burnley moves this summer he is the only goalkeeper to have appeared on the list and it is believed he has been our number one target throughout as Owen Coyle looks to rebuild his Burnley squad.

It is reported that manager Owen Coyle is currently in Spain trying to clinch the deal.
