Penny set to drop for Clarets

Penny is a full international and has played in each of Peru's last two World Cup qualifiers last November against Brazil and Ecuador.

He plays his club football with Coronel Bolognesi in his homeland. He's the captain of the side and last year they won the Peruvia Primera Division Clausura for the first time in their history. He has played over 150 games for them.

The Clarets would have to secure a work permit for the 6ft 5ins goalkeeper and I believe that process is underway with the Clarets having secured the player's signature on a deal.

There's no confirmation from the club so no suggestion on how long a contract we've offered for the 24-year-old should that work permit be granted.
