Payton rushed to hospital from reserve game

We have no further details at the moment although there did seem great concern for Payton from his team mates.

The game ended in a 1-1 draw with Mark Rasmussen getting the Burnley goal in the first half.

Tranmere ended the game with just nine men after having two players sent off, Philip Baker in the first half and James Olsen in the second half.

The teams were,

Burnley: Luigi Cennamo, Mark McGregor, Graham Branch, Earl Davis, Gordon Armstrong, Joel Pilkington, Dimitri Papadopoulos (Andrew Leeson 65), Andrew Waine, Tony Ellis (Matthew O'Neill 58), Andy Payton (Anthony Shandran 2), Mark Rasmussen. Subs not used: James Salisbury, Paul Scott.

Tranmere Rovers: Joe Murphy, Alan Morgan (Ryan Taylor 75), Richard Hinds, James Olsen, Philip Baker, Ian Sharps, Sean Thornton, Paul Rideout, Andy Parkinson, Seyni N'Diaye (Danny Harrison 85), Stuart Barlow. Subs not used: Andy Ralph, Alex Hay.
