Payton and Farrell to play for Clarets again

There were suggestions that Owen Coyle might be in the side but he's away with the current squad of Burnley players and in any case he probably wouldn't qualify having never played for the Clarets.

Two players have been confirmed though. Andy Farrell, who was with the Clarets from the summer of 1987 and who played his last game for the club in the 1994 play off final against Stockport has been confirmed.

To add to that, Andy Payton who was the leading goalscorer in our last automatic promotion of 1999/2000 will also be in the squad.

No other names have as yet been confirmed as the Clarets are set to play against Blackburn, Bolton, Oldham and both Manchester City and United on Saturday 25^th July at the MEN Arena in Manchester. It is the last of the heats before the final in Liverpool.
